Killarney man Patrick Mannix was a guide for Weeshie recording two programmes on this famous and historic jail.

The remarkable story of Paraplegic Limerick golfer Tony Brouder. Stricken by paralysis in 2008 and confined to a wheelchair he now plays golf in all the best courses from his specially adapted Paragolfer wheelchair. He will play in the British Disabled Open Golf in England next week.

Author Tim Horgan joined Weeshie in studio to talk about his new book – The Men Will Talk to Me which features interviews from Kerry people on the war of independence

Fr. Martin McCormack, Ger Keane, Sile Fitzgerald joined Weeshie in studio to talk about Fr. McCormack's work in Swaziland.

Jack Murphy from Caherciveen was a Kerry footballer and played in the 1924 and 1926 All Ireland Finals. The 1926 Final against Kildare ended up in a draw with Jack playing at full back. He wrote this letter to his sister Nell in America describing the drawn match and how he was planning on going to Tralee for training before the replay.

He contracted pneumonia shortly after that training, most likely from putting his clothes on over his training gear. He never got the chance to play in the replay and died 11 days after the replay which Kerry won. The South Kerry Championship trophy was named in honour of Jack Murphy.
